All of Bill Burke’s trips are experiential; they include training as situations arise.
Pre-trip check-up for your vehicle to catch important stuff before you get on the trails such as fluid levels, belts and hoses, filters, wheel bearings, check brakes, current registration and insurance, etc. As part of the conditions of permits for many of our overnight camping trips, portable toilets are required by the BLM and USFS. As responsible 4-wheelers, we must address the issue of human waste ethics. Please be prepared for proper disposal.
Just got back from the Northern Colorado Adventure. What a great mix of scenery, four-wheeling and camping, in an introduction to an area which beckons my return for further exploration! The trails went through wildflower-covered meadows, mountain passes with grand vistas, and pine and aspen forests. The wheeling took us over rocks, through mud bogs, and up 100% grades: an education without intimidation. The camping and campfire conversation were a highlight, as usual.”
“Dear Bill, Thanks for a very special trip through some of Colorado’s most beautiful scenery. The 4-wheeling was challenging and fun, and I love the way you gently take care of everyone. Our five-day “wheeling family” was awesome, too.”
"Just a quick note of thanks for a truly great trip. All of our expectations were exceeded… everyone from my 4 year old to my wife and 4-wheeling friends came away with a whole new perspective and appreciation for all things “off-road.” There was something for everybody! Hard core wheeling, camping and sightseeing all blended seamlessly under Bill’s guidance.”
“From day one it was apparent that safety was paramount…we never felt anything but safe under Bill’s watchful eyes. The learning started before the first turn of a key and continued right up until our goodbyes. Simply put, Bill is an outstanding instructor. I believe that he sets the standard by which all others must be judged!”
“An unexpected but much appreciated benefit of our time together was Bill’s encyclopedic knowledge of the environment around us. He obviously cares very much about his “office” and wants to see it preserved for future generations. Learning about our surroundings…from mountains to the smallest creatures…captivated us all! Many thanks”
“Pete and I had the best Jeep adventure with you ever at Borrego Springs. You inspire such confidence with unending patience. How do you do it? You are truly a uniquely talented teacher who teaches with not only your wonderful brain, but your heart and soul.”
